Authorities are following clues about the suspects and believe they have identified one of them. The victim is expected to survive the attack.

The 22-year-old man who was shot in the back near Downing St. and Ramona Blvd. had been the victim of a beating by several subjects, relatives told Patch.
Police officers say they have clues about a possible suspect, but declined to identify the person and have categorized the incident as being gang-related.
"The victim is in stable condition and his injuries are non-life threatening", said Lt. David Reynoso, spokesperson for the Baldwin Park Police Department.

According to a relative of the victim, who asked to remain unidentified, he told them at the hospital that, less than a month ago, he had been attacked by three people who he thought might be responsible for the latest incident.
The victim said he was walking on Downing St. when the suspects' vehicle stopped behind him.
One person got out of the car, and when the victim heard someone yelling to shoot at him, he started running away fom the attackers.
Police indicated that several shots were fired, but only one struck the victim, in his lower back.
The victim's relatives fear against future retaliations, because they know the man was targeted in the attack.
Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call Baldwin Park Police at 626-960-1955.
