BALDWIN PARK TACKLES FOOD INSECURITY BY HOSTING DRIVE-THRU FOOD DRIVE

The City of Baldwin Park, in partnership with Supervisor Hilda L. Solis, Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, Labor Community Services, UFCW Local 1428, Upper San Gabriel Valley Municipal Water District, Baby2Baby, and Baldwin Park Church of Christ invites residents to the Drive-Thru Giveaway on Wednesday, April 14, 2021. This service ensures that Baldwin Park’s residents can meet their nutritional needs during this public health crisis.
The Drive-Thru Giveaway is one of the many programs the City put into place to help our local families. “Our community is prevailing through the pandemic because residents, businesses, and community organizations worked collectively to create a safety net for those who are the most vulnerable. Together, we are stronger, Baldwin Park!” said Mayor Emmanuel J. Estrada. “As such, I want to thank my colleagues on the council for spearheading efforts that support the needs of Baldwin Park’s families.”
Since the pandemic started, Baldwin Park remained committed to helping families put food on the table through nutrition programs and free meal distributions. In the past, the City and its partners offered more than 5,000 food packages. The upcoming food distribution event will provide 1,600 food packages for our local families to ensure that they can access fresh, nutritious food.
