An autopsy on the body of a man found dead Monday afternoon in a Baldwin Park hotel in the 13900 block of Francisquito Avenue revealed "multiple injuries," revealing homicide as the cause of death, according to Lt. Fred Corral of the L.A. County Coroner's Department.
The man was identified Tuesday by the coroner's office as Vanhxay Inthichac, a 26-year-old Baldwin Park resident.
Homicide detectives were on scene Monday afternoon investigating the case, which was described as a "suspicious death" by the Baldwin Park Police Department.
Corral did not have any more details on the nature of the injuries and what weapon was used.  However, a Sheriff's Department investigator told the San Gabriel Valley Tribune the injury was the result of "blunt force trauma," and noted the police do not have a suspect or possible motive of the assailant.
