Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park Medical Center will be hosting a Community Benefit Partner Reception on Wednesday, May 8, 2013, 5 p.m. at the South Hills Country Club in West Covina to award and recognize 36 nonprofit organizations from the San Gabriel Valley with community benefit grants ranging from $2,500 to $25,000.

“This is realized in many ways, most notably, through our work with local agencies and our community benefit grant program that enables us to address some of the health and social issues facing our communities. In these economic times, it is even more crucial that our social commitment remain strong. We are honored to work with all of our community benefit partners to make lasting positive changes to help build healthy communities.”

Funding to organizations is based on the findings from a community health needs assessment conducted in 2010 which included data research as well as community consultation with local community leaders and residents.
