LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped on Sunday for the ninth consecutive day, decreasing eight-tenths of a cent to $4.074.
The average price has decreased 4.6 cents over the past nine days. It is 4.1 cents less than one week ago and 1.8 cents lower than one month ago but 24.3 cents higher than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
It rose 8.2 cents during the nine-day streak of increases that had preceded the dropping prices.
The Orange County average price dropped for the eighth consecutive day, decreasing six-tenths of a cent to $4.057. It is 4 cents less than one week ago and 1.8 cents lower than one month ago but 25 cents more than one year ago.
The Orange County average price has decreased 4.6 cents over the past eight days, including eight-tenths of a cent on Saturday.
