Local Drive-In Theater Upgrades to Digital Projectors
Vineland Drive-In Theater's first screening to be shown in digital will be "Man of Steel" this Friday, June 14, just in time for Father's Day.

Just in time for Father’s Day weekend, Vineland Drive-In movie theater, the only drive-in still operating in Los Angeles County, announced they upgraded their traditional 35 mm projectors to digital projection.
The first screening to be shown in digital at the Los Angeles landmark theater will be “Man of Steel.”
“The technology of film is continually evolving and improving the viewing experience for moviegoers,” said Juan Gonzalez, general manager of Vineland Drive-In. “As we see these changes happening throughout the industry, it seems only natural to bring the highest-quality projection to the original movie experience, the drive-in.”

The drive-in’s most recent decision to upgrade from traditional 35 mm projectors to all-digital projection stems from the industry shift to provide a smaller and quieter projector with clearer visuals for moviegoers.
