LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped today to its lowest amount since May 7, falling three-tenths of a cent to $3.933.
The average price has decreased for 24 consecutive days and is 7.4 cents less than one week ago, 12.3 cents lower than one month ago and 15.6 cents below what it was one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price has decreased 18.7 cents over the past 24 days, including 1.1 cents on Sunday.
The Orange County average price also dropped to its lowest amount since May 7, falling a half-cent to $3.909. It is 7.7 cents less than one week ago, 13.3 cents lower than one month ago and 16.4 cents below what it was one year ago.
The Orange County average price has decreased for 23 consecutive days, falling 19.4 cents over that span, including seven-tenths of a cent on Sunday.
