HACIENDA HEIGHTS, CA — A motorist who was under suspicion of driving intoxicated crashed into a building holding a church service in Hacienda Heights, injuring two pedestrians. That motorist, Randy Lesinsky, 49, of Hacienda Heights, was booked on suspicion of felony driving under the influence causing injuries, the California Highway Patrol reported, and was being held without bail.
The crash happened about 3:15 p.m. Sunday in the 14900 block of Clark Avenue. Services at Comunidad Misionera Cristiana had concluded, but worshippers were still congregating in the area.
Two people were taken to a hospital for treatment, one with major injuries and the other in unknown condition, the CHP reported.
