Powerball Jackpot for Wednesday at $360 Million

Just one week ago a Powerball ticket worth $ 280,630 was sold in at Jay's Market in Baldwin Park.

Since there were no tickets sold with all six numbers in last drawing of the multi-state Powerball lottery, the jackpot for Wednesday's drawing will grow to $360 million.

Last Saturday, 10 tickets  had five numbers, but didn't have the Powerball number.

Just one week ago a Powerball ticket worth $ 280,630 was sold at Jay's Market in Baldwin Park.

The owner Jay's Market told Patch he has seen a "30% increase in ticket sales" since last week.

The prize for Wednesday is the third largest prize ever, reports Fox News.

According to officials, the large pot is partially attributed to recent ticket sales in California as reported by CBS.

The odds of matching all five numbers and the Powerball number is 1 in 175,223,510, according to the Powerball website. The overall chance of winning
a prize is 1 in 31.85.

The Powerball game is played in 43 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
