The “Gang of Eight” immigration reform bill was approved in the Senate with a 68-32 vote.
The bill passed with the support of all Democrats and 14 Republicans.
Republicans who voted yes: John McCain (AZ), Marcos Rubio (FL), Jeff Flake (AZ) and Lindsey Graham (SC), Lamar Alexander (Tenn.), Kelly Ayotte (N.H.), Jeff Chiesa (N.J.), Susan Collins (Maine), Bob Corker (Tenn.), Orrin Hatch (Utah), Dean Heller (Nev.), John Hoeven (N.D.), Mark Kirk (Ill.), and Lisa Murkowski (Alaska).
The bill will now proceed on to the next step in the legislative process: The House Judiciary Committee.
