Several Injured in Cement Truck Crash in 605 Freeway
The crash occurred about 10:15 a.m. near Rivergrade Road, just north of Los Angeles Street exit in Baldwin Park.

Three people were critically injured Monday in a crash on the southbound San Gabriel River (605) Freeway involving a van and a cement truck that overturned, authorities said.Â
The collision occurred about 10:15 a.m. near Rivergrade Road, just north of Los Angeles Street exit in Baldwin Park, said California Highway Patrol Officer Monica Posada.
Three people suffered critical injuries, and several others were treated for minor injuries, the county fire department reported.
The cement truck was on the Live Oak Avenue onramp to the southbound 605 when the vehicle, for unknown reasons,  "veered to the left, crossed a dirt embankment and went onto the southbound freeway,'' Posada said.
A van occupied by 10 people then collided with the truck, which ended up on its side in the center divider area, she said, adding that the trucker was among the injured.
Crews worked to clean up a small amount of diesel fuel that spilled, and two lanes remained blocked early this afternoon, Posada said.
