A 28-day streak of decreases in the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County ended today when it was unchanged, remaining at $4.088.

The average price dropped 21.2 cents during the streak, the longest since a 48-day streak of dropping prices from Oct. 10-Nov. 26, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 1.5 cents less than one week ago, 21.8 cents lower than one month ago and 24.1 cents below what it was one year ago.
The Orange County average price rose today for the first time since Feb. 27, increasing two-tenths of a cent to $4.061. It is 1 cent less than one week ago, 23.3 cents lower than one month ago and 24.5 cents below what it was one year ago.

The average price dropped for 30 consecutive days, was unchanged Saturday, dropped Sunday and Monday and was unchanged again Tuesday.
