Suicidal Young Man Tried to Hang Himself in Baldwin Park
A good Samaritan rescued the young man before he could kill himself, according to reports of the SGV Tribune.

A suicidal young man attempted to hang himself early sunday in the Hilda Solis Park in Baldwin Park, but thanks to a good samaritan the young man was rescued before he died, reported the SGV Tribune.
Sgt. Mark Harvey with the Baldwin Park Police Department told the Tribune the incident took place around 1:45 a.m at the park located at 15010 Badillo Street.
The young man was using some sort of bag to create a noose for the suicide attempt, said Harvey.

David Richard Martinez, of Covina told the newspaper he was walking by the area when he encountered the young man hanging motionless from a tree by his neck.
"I don't know how long he was hanging there," Martinez told the Tribune, adding that he appeared to be dead. "I picked him up by his legs," he said. "The noose came right off."

Martinez told the newspaper that after the young man fell from the tree he seemingly "came back to life" and gasped for air.
The young man was sent to a psychiatric evaluation.
