Unemployment Declines in Baldwin Park
The unemployment rate in Baldwin Park was 11.6 in April 2013.

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in Los Angeles County declined to 9.9 percent in April, down from a revised 10.2 percent in March, the state Employment Development Department announced recently.
The 9.9 percent unemployment rate was below the 11.2 percent rate in April 2012, according to the EDD.
Baldwin Park also saw a decrease in its rate of unemployment. The unemployment rate in Baldwin Park was 11.6 in April 2013Â which was smaller than the 13.6 percent it recorded for January 2013.
Baldwin Park had 3,900 people without employment in April 2013, out of its 33,400 workforce.
In Orange County, where seasonally adjusted numbers were not available, the unemployment rate was 5.7 percent, down from 6.3 percent in March.
California's jobless rate was 9 percent in April, down from 9.4 percent in March and from 10.7 percent in April 2012, according to the EDD.
The comparable estimates for the nation were 7.5 percent in April, 7.6Â percent in March and 8.1 percent a year ago.
Total nonfarm employment increased by 200 jobs in Los Angeles County between March and April to reach more than 3.9 million. The trade, transportation and utilities sector posted the month-over gain, adding 2,600 jobs, according to the EDD.
A total of 485,000 people were unemployed in April in Los Angeles County, which has a labor force of more than 4.9 million.
