1 Killed In Whitewater Fire
Fire officials say a body was recovered at the scene of the fire today.

WHITEWATER, CA β Riverside county sheriff's and fire officials are investigating a blaze that ripped through a Whitewater trailer, a vehicle and acres of vegetation on Tuesday morning, killing one person.
The fire was first reported at 9:12 a.m. in the 12500 block of Cottonwood Road, north of Interstate 10. Thirteen fire engines and two bulldozers were sent to the scene, and at 10:35 a.m., the fire department reported the the fire was contained.
Shortly thereafter, authorities confirmed a fatality.

"During the course of the extinguishment/investigation, a deceased body was discovered," sheriff's Dep. Robyn Flores told Patch. "The cause of death is unknown and no information about the decedent is available."
