2 Fires Break Out In Beaumont, Cherry Valley Before Noon Friday

Fire officials responded to two incidents that sent smoke plumes through the Pass Area on Friday morning.

BEAUMONT, CA β€” Firefighters battled, and quickly contained, two separate fires in the Beaumont area on Friday morning. The first was reported at a mobile home park near Highland Springs resort and the second was at a gas station a few miles down the road.

The Riverside County Fire Department was called to a mobile home on Cheyenne Trail at 10:34 a.m. There, they found a fire that had started in an outbuilding and spread to two nearby homes.

By 11:30 a.m., the fire appeared to be out, but crews remained at the scene for mop up. No injuries were reported.

Down the street, a vehicle burst into flames at the Arco gas station on 6th Street and Highland Springs Avenue at around 11:10 a.m., according to fire reports.

Images from the scene showed it fully engulfed, but officials say no one was hurt. That fire was also out by 11:30 a.m. and crews stopped it from spreading beyond the pickup truck.
