2 Maskless Males Sought In Beaumont Card Skimming Investigation
The two males were captured on a Beaumont Bank of America security camera, and are wanted for questioning about card skimming.
BEAUMONT, CA β Two maskless males suspected of tampering with a Bank of America ATM in Beaumont and possibly installing a card skimming device on it were captured on camera and police hope the public can help identify them.
The two males, described as being in their late teens or early 20s, were captured on a security camera at the 1672 2nd Street Marketplace bank location.
The surveillance images were publicly released by the Beaumont Police Department on Thursday following an investigation at the bank that began March 17.

Around 3:45 p.m. that day, Beaumont police officers were called to the location after a bank employee found a card skimming device on an ATM machine at the branch's drive-thru. The illegal devices are used to capture credit card and bank card information from unsuspecting customers.
After reviewing the bank's security camera footage, police singled out the two males who allegedly were seen tampering with the ATM's keypad.

It's unknown if there are any victims or if any accounts have been compromised, police said.
In recent weeks, the Beaumont Police Department has shared information about several incidents of credit card and ATM skimming devices found at businesses and banks within the city. It's not clear whether police believe the two males seen at the BofA may be linked to the other incidents.
Anyone who recognizes the suspect(s), or believes they may have had their credit/debit or bank account compromised after visiting the BofA branch around March 16-17, is asked to contact Det. Sgt. Harris at 951-769-8500, ref. case #2103B-2117.
