2 People, Dog Pulled From Banning Crash Off 80-Foot Embankment

Multiple agencies assisted in the rescue operation.

BANNING, CA β€” Two people and a dog were rescued over the weekend in a crash in Banning, the Riverside County Fire Department reports.

The multi-agency rescue operation happened around 6:30 p.m. Sunday in the 9000 block of Bluff Street, near the area of town known as the Banning Bench, according to fire officials.

Crews from the Riverside County and Morongo fire departments arrived at the location to find a red-colored sedan had gone approximately 80 feet over the side of curvy road, according to fire reports and reports from the scene.

After a technical operation was performed, two people were pulled up the hillside and examined by awaiting firefighter paramedics.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
