3 Blood Drives Scheduled In Pass Area During First Week Of March

SAN GORGONIO PASS AREA, CA — Three blood drives are being held in the Pass Area March 1-5, it was announced Tuesday.

LifeStream is hosting the following events at these locations:

Banning Senior Center

Address: 789 N. San Gorgonio Ave.

Date: Monday, March 1

Time: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Beaumont Chamber of Commerce

Address: 726 Beaumont Ave.

Date: Wednesday, March 3 and Thursday, March 4

Time: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days

San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital

Address: 600 N. Highland Springs Ave., Banning

Date: Friday, March 5

Time: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Blood donors will receive a baseball-style “Count on Me” cap, according to LifeStream.

LifeStream tests all successful whole-blood donations for COVID-19 antibodies. Donors learn results and if their plasma could potentially help current COVID-19 patients. This test does not detect if the donor is currently infected.

Donors also receive free cholesterol screening and receive a free mini-physical as part of the process.

Healthy individuals at least 15 years of age may donate blood. Everyone under 17 years of age must provide LifeStream with written parental consent. Parent consent forms are available at any donor center, community blood drive or at www.LStream.org.

All prospective donors should be free of infections or illness, weigh at least 115 pounds, and not be at risk for AIDS or hepatitis.

NOTE: All blood donors must wear a mask/face covering (mask/coverings with one-way valves to filter outside air are not sufficient), submit to a temperature check and COVID-19 symptom review before being admitted to the donor waiting area.
