$7.6M Beaumont Flood Protection, Water Conservation Project Completed
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Thursday to celebrate the project.

BEAUMONT, CA β The completion of a $7.6 million project in Beaumont designed to mitigate flooding risks while promoting water conservation and resilience in the face of water resource challenges was celebrated Thursday during a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The Beaumont Line 16 Water Conservation and Flood Protection Project Key includes state-of-the-art flood control infrastructure and modern water conservation recharge basins to collect stormwater. The project optimizes recharge of captured stormwater into the groundwater aquifer, promoting responsible water stewardship, according to a news release from the county.
The project is a partnership between the Riverside County Flood Control and Water Conservation District and the Beaumont-Cherry Valley Water District, and was supported by the Department of Water Resources and the Santa Ana Watershed Project Authority, officials said.
