Accused Banning Gunman Caught, Nabbed On Attempted Murder Charge
Police had previously said the man should be considered "armed and dangerous."

BANNING, CA β Banning police have arrested a man in connection with a shooting in town, the agency announced Monday. Selman Domonguez, 29, is currently in being held at the Banning jail without bail.
Described as "armed and dangerous" when police were first looking for the man in connection to the Wednesday shooting, Domonguez was caught on Friday in possession of a handgun, according to police.
"It is unknown if the handgun was the same one used in the shooting on November 20, 2019," police said in a news release announcing the man's arrest.

Domonguez is accused of attempted murder in the shooting, which was reported 12:49 p.m. Wednesday in the 400 block of West Wilson Street in Banning. Police arrived within one minute of the call and found evidence that the shooting had occurred, but the victim and suspect had both left the scene, according to witnesses.
During the investigation, a victim who police did not identify, arrived at the San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital emergency room with an apparent gunshot wound, police said.

After speaking to witnesses of the shooting, detectives identified the suspect as Domonguez, authorities said.
