After DC Riot, CA National Guard Soldiers Return To March ARB
The soldiers were deployed for two months in the nation's Capitol following the Jan. 6 riot.
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA β California National Guard Soldiers with the 250th Expeditionary Military Intelligence Battalion at March Air Reserve Base were called up following the Jan. 6 riot in the U.S. Capitol. The soldiers were deployed for two months, and on Sunday they finally returned home to Riverside County.
"Following the riot at our nationβs Capitol in Washington, D.C. and in preparation for the inauguration, these soldiers answered the call for help and deployed to D.C. in January 2021," the California National Guard reported.
On Sunday they were greeted at March by M. Janet Chin, civilian aide to the Secretary of the Army in California. See the photo gallery above, which documents the soldiers' return to Riverside County.
