After Teen Found Dead In Moreno Valley, Arrests Announced

MORENO VALLEY, CA — Two men have been charged in the killing of a teen boy who was found dead in a car earlier this year in Moreno Valley.

Michael Reed, 28, of Perris, and London Tariq Strider, 18, of Chino, were arrested Friday by deputies investigating the slaying of Markese Benny Holland, 17, of San Bernardino.

Both defendants have been charged with first-degree murder and were being held at Robert Presley Detention Center with no bail set, according to jail records.

The teen's lifeless body was discovered January 27 inside a vehicle near Lasselle Street and Avenida Classica in Moreno Valley. He had been shot, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

Further details about the killing, including a motive, have not been released.
