DUBLIN, CA β€” Cruise into the weekend today as part of Bike to Wherever Day.

Tying into National Bike Month, Dublin has activities throughout the entire month of May. Today is Bike to Wherever Day and Bike to Work Day. Pretty simple, right?
"Bike to Wherever Day is a regional Bay Area event that raises the visibility of bicycling and encourages more people to make healthy, active transportation choices on their way to work, or wherever," the city said. "Be sure to map your Energizer Station route to pick up your Bike to Wherever Day tote, and don't forget to take the Tri-Valley Pledge to Ride to be entered into a raffle."

Visit this link for energizer stations and pledge submissions.
May 26 is the next event. Bike to Market Day encourages riders to roll over to Emerald Glen Park. People who take their bikes to the farmers market will get $5 in 'Carrot Cash' to spend at the market. Visit the city's information table to get your cash. The market is open from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Along with the theme this month, the city is updating its Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan.
"This Plan update will focus on making walking and biking more convenient and accessible throughout the City, and giving residents better access to open space, shops, work, public transit, and school," the city said.

Residents are encouraged to give their feedback here.
