Assault Triggers Large Police Response Near Cabazon Outlets

CABAZON, CA — A large police presence remained outside the Cabazon Outlets Sunday as the Riverside County Sheriff's Department investigated a report of an assault with a deadly weapon.

The assault occurred just before 10:30 a.m. in the 48000 block of Seminole Drive, according to Sgt. Deanna Pecoraro of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department. Pecoraro was not able to release additional information about the attack, the victim or potential suspects as of Sunday evening.

Residents reported seeing several police vehicles stationed outside a McDonald's next to the outlet throughout the day.
