Banning Mother Suspected Of Beating Her 4-Year-Old Child
Officers found the badly beaten child covered in bruises with a swollen face, according to the Banning Police Department.

BANNING, CA β A Banning mother suspected of badly beating her 4-year-old child remained jailed Friday.
Ana Romero, 22, was arrested around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday after Banning police responded to a report of child abuse occurring at a residence in the 500 block of San Andreas Street.
Officers found the badly beaten child covered in bruises with a swollen face, according to the Banning Police Department.

The child was hospitalized and Romero was booked into Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside on suspicion of child cruelty, according to jail records. She was being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
The Banning Police Department is asking anyone who may have additional information regarding the case to contact its Detective Bureau at 951-922-3170.
