Banning Storage Burglary Suspect Pleads 'Not Guilty'
Allan Jerry Andreis pleaded not guilty to felony counts of grand theft over $950, and other charges related to the Palm Desert crime.
BANNING, CA β A 49-year-old man suspected in a Palm Desert storage facility burglary in which more than $30,000 worth of property was stolen from four victims pleaded not guilty Wednesday to felony charges.
Allan Jerry Andreis of Banning is charged with three felony counts of grand theft over $950, one felony count of burglary, and one misdemeanor count of possessing burglary tools, according to court records. He pleaded not guilty to all charges Wednesday morning at the Larson Justice Center in Indio.
Deputies from the Palm Desert sheriff's station responded July 28 to a report of a burglary at a storage facility, according to Sgt. Travis Mountz of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

"The suspects victimized four separate people by stealing a total of over $30,000 worth of property from their storage units," Mountz wrote in a statement.
The Palm Desert Special Enforcement Team identified Andreis as one of the suspects, according to Mountz. A search warrant was served at his residence in Banning and he was arrested at around 9:20 a.m. Aug. 11.

It was unknown how many other suspects are connected to the burglary.
Andreis was booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning and was released two days later on a $30,000 bond, according to inmate records.
