Beaumont Celebrates California Clean Air Day

City leaders gathered at a park to plant a tree for the occasion.

BEAUMONT, CA β€” Beaumont officials gathered this week to celebrate 'California Clean Air Day' by planning a tree at a park. On Wednesday, they dedicated a Southern Magnolia at Fallen Heroes Park.

"In addition to this ceremony, Beaumont is making strides towards cleaner air with the installation of a future electric vehicle charging station at the Civic Center," said Mayor Pro Tem Rey Santos. "This new facility will enhance our Park & Ride area for those who carpool or choose to ride one of our local or regional transit bus routes"

The city officially supported the state's clean air day with the adoption of a resolution supporting the cause on Sept. 17.
