Beaumont Faked Another Workshop, then Complains Nobody Attended

Of the $400 Million Embezzled between 1993 and 2015; $250 Million of the Money Embezzled was Designated for Roadways.

Beaumont’s elected City Clerk, Steve Mehlman, is complaining on the Next-door website that no citizens showed up for the City’s fake road workshop.

Workshops are open forums where conversations are allowed and encouraged. Beaumont doesn’t have workshops - all Beaumont has is staged meetings with preprogrammed lies. If a citizens attempts to speak up or against the Staff - the City Councilmen attack the citizens.

Mehlman wrote: “There was a lot of good information presented on why our street are in the condition they are (One primary reason: During the Kapanicas years and prior to that, Beaumont did not even have a street maintenance department.)”

The City of Beaumont presented the same childish, Sesame Street® presentation they used in 2015: Road and Rehabilitation Program Slideshow: https://beaumont.civicweb.net/document/22628/Beaumont%20Pavement%20Rehabilitation%20Program%20R1.pdf?handle=065150366C1A4328978DFEB4F8AE804E

How many City Councilmen stopped the City’s slideshow to complain that they’ve already seen that song and dance? None. Beaumont City Councilmen have no recall of their actions or of past City Council Meetings.

How many City Councilmen stopped the City’s slideshow to complain that they are grown adults that do not need a Sesame Street® explanation of roads. None. The zombie apocalypse marches on.

It’s far too late for the City of Beaumont to feign concern for infrastructure. In its response to the Riverside Grand Jury Investigation into Beaumont’s bond money that has resulted in the City’s lack of Fire Stations, Roads, Parks, and Recycled Water Facility the City of Beaumont wrote:

“The City does not believe there is a gap in public facilities and services.”

From 1993 to 2015 $400 Million was misused/embezzled from the City of Beaumont; $300 Million was embezzled from Federal Municipal Bonds. Of the $400 Million; $250 Million of the money embezzled was designated for roadways.

Beaumont’s streets are in their present condition because after the Raids in 2015 the Beaumont City Council did not listen to the Citizens and did not hire honest, qualified Staff. Instead the City Council hired another set of unqualified, corrupt Staff that turned the pillaging of Beaumont into high gear.

State and Federal laws require all money collected in the form of Special Taxes and Mitigation Fees to be deposited into separate, Interest-Bearing savings accounts so the money is easily tracked.

To this day the City of Beaumont deposits all of their Special Taxes and Mitigation Fees into the General Fund where the money is misused/embezzled instead of used for its intended function.

After the Raids many citizens attended the Beaumont City Council Meetings with the hope of guiding and advising the Council and set the City on the right track, but it was quickly made clear that the ‘new’ Beaumont City Council had sold out the City just like every other Beaumont City Councilman had done over the the last 20 years with the exception of Nancy Gall.
