Beaumont Hopes To Recruit, Expand Retail Business In The City

The city brought on the consulting firm The Retail Coach to help develop a formal retail recruitment strategy.

BEAUMONT, CA β€” An effort to attract retailers to Beaumont is kicking off with a virtual retail workshop geared toward business owners, entrepreneurs and potential franchisees.

The 2 p.m. Jan. 26 workshop will be held by the city in partnership with The Retail Coach, which was hired by the city in December to help Beaumont in developing a formal retail recruitment strategy.

According to the city, The Retail Coach specializes in retail market analysis, determining market opportunities, marketing municipal clients and recruiting retailers and developers.

In addition to attracting new retailers to the city, The Retail Coach will assist with strategies to retain and expand existing Beaumont businesses, according to city documents.

The contract cost for The Retail Coach services is not to exceed $111,500 over the next three
years, according to city documents

The Retail Coach website shows the company has offices in Mississippi and Texas.
