Beaumont Library Revamps Youth & Bookmobile Programs
New and expanded offerings are scheduled for the 2019-2020 school year.

Beaumont Library continues to offer a full range of programs for children and teens, but there will be a few schedule changes and new offerings this academic year. Bookmobile stops for families are also being expanded.
Following are the days and times of regular programs for children and families:
Toddler Storytime: 10 a.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays. Nurture pre-literacy skills for ages 0-2 through stories, interactive plays, songs and rhymes.

Preschool Storytime: 10 a.m. on Thursdays and Fridays. Ages 3-5 can enjoy a morning filled with interactive stories, play time, singing, and a simple craft.
Pajama Storytime: 5 p.m. on the second Thursday of the month. Bring your PJ-clad little tykes with their blankets and stuffed animals to enjoy a soothing evening story before bed!

Tween Tuesdays: 4 p.m. on Tuesdays. Rotating activities for ages 8-12 that will include a Lego Day, a Book Club, a Writing Club, STEAM activities, and crafts.
Family Night: 5 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of the month. Each evening will have a different theme and will include fun activities for the whole family.
Family Storytime: 10 a.m. on the last Saturday of the month. A morning storytime for the whole family filled with interactive stories, play time, singing, bubbles, and a simple craft.
In addition to regular Childrenβs programs, the following special program is scheduled this fall:
Baby Sign-Time: 9 a.m. on Mondays, September 23, October 14, and November 18. Learn basic signing from Georgia Frawleyβfor ages 0-18 months and parent.
Please note: There will be no storytimes on Monday, October 21; Thursday, October 24; or Saturday, October 26, due to conference attendance by Children's staff.
As in the past, programs for Teens will be generated through input from young adults themselves through Beaumont Libraryβs Teen Advisory Board. The first TAB meeting this school year will be held on Saturday, September 7th. Applications are available online for those interested in participating.
Beaumont Libraryβs Bookmobile service offers books and DVDs for the whole familyβchildren, teens, and adults. The number of stops has been expanded to include a second weekly visit to the Chatigny Community Center. Those locations marked with an asterisk (*) also include a preschool storytime, as follow:
