More than 2,000 Beaumont residents were impacted by an electrical outage Monday.
According to Southern California Edison, the power went out shortly after 10 a.m. on the north end of the city for reasons that were not immediately clear.

As of 12:30 p.m., crews were attempting to identify the source of the outage and preparing to reactivate lines, according to the SCE website.
The exact number of affected customers was 2,170, officials said.
