Boarded-Up Commercial Building Burns In Banning

BANNING, CA β€” A commercial structure fire that broke out early Wednesday morning in Banning was knocked down and there were no reports of injuries.

The blaze in the boarded-up single-story building was called after midnight in the 500 block of Ramsey Street, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.

When crews arrived on the scene, they saw "heavy fire" coming through the roof, the agency reported.

The blaze was knocked down at 1:51 a.m. but crews remained at the location for more than an hour to mop up.
