Body Found At 91, 60 Freeway Interchange Following Crash

RIVERSIDE, CA ? At least one person was killed in a multi-vehicle collision Tuesday after a gray SUV slammed into the back of a semi trailer at the junction of two freeways in Riverside.

California Highway Patrol officers were called at 2:08 a.m. to the junction of the eastbound Riverside (91) Freeway and the westbound Pomona (60) Freeway where they found a body in the middle lanes of the 91 freeway and the damaged vehicles, the Riverside CHP said.

The victim, whose name, age or gender were not immediately known, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The CHP issued a SigAlert that closed parts of both freeways for several hours while they investigated the cause of the collision.
