Body Found In Moreno Valley Structure Fire Considered Suspicious

Investigators from the Moreno Valley Sheriff's Station and the Central Homicide Unit have taken over the case.

MORENO VALLEY, CA β€” A body found in a structure fire early Thursday morning in Moreno Valley has been deemed suspicious, the sheriff's department announced.

Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department crews responded to the fire in the 13400 block of Old 215 Frontage Road. Shortly after, at 5:21 a.m., crews contacted the sheriff's department regarding the body that was discovered.

"Firefighters extinguished the fire and found a deceased human that had been burned," the sheriff's department reported. "Deputies secured the area and began an investigation. Cal Fire arson investigators are assisting with the circumstances into the cause of the fire."
