Bounce House Carrying Child Flies Onto Inland Empire Highway

Strong winds forced the bounce house to fly onto the roadway, officials said.

ADELANTO, CA -- A child suffered minor injuries this weekend after a bounce house carrying the child flew onto an Inland Empire highway. The incident happened Saturday afternoon in Adelanto, according to an Orange County Register report.

Sheriff's officials told the Register the bounce house flew from a home, carried by strong winds.

"Strong winds shortly before 3:15 p.m blew a bounce house with a 9-year-old child inside of it from a home in the 18200 block of Delicious Street onto Highway 395 near Bartlett Avenue," the Register reported.

After landing on the highway, the bounce house hit a car and the child was thrown out, the Register reported.

No one else was injured in the incident.
