BLOOMINGTON, CA -- A fundraiser was underway Monday after a California couple lost their three children who were struck and killed by a driver. Police said a driver in a red Dodge Challenger struck a family Sunday night, killing the three children of Maria Luna and Jose Angel Jauregui: Angel, 20, Jose Manuel, 17, and Andrea, 13.
Maria Luna was also at the scene and and suffered injuries from the crash that happened on Slover Avenue near Locust Avenue in Bloomington.
The driver, Leonardo Bravo, 19, stayed at the scene of the incident, and that drugs or alcohol were not considered a factor. It's unclear how Bravo lost control of his vehicle before slamming into the family, police said.
