CALIMESA, CA β€” Riverside County sheriff's officials on Wednesday released two images of a man wanted in connection to a recent bank robbery that happened in Calimesa. The pictures, taken from surveillance cameras inside the bank, show a middle-aged man with a beard and ball cap who made off with an undisclosed amount of cash in the hold-up.

The robbery occurred at 2:10 p.m. on Dec. 6 in the 1100 block of Calimesa Boulevard, according to sheriff's Sgt. Richard Carroll.

The suspect walked into the bank, demanded money and left with cash. No weapon was used and no bank customers or staff were hurt, Carroll said.

"Investigators from the Cabazon Station are continuing their investigation and following up on leads regarding the recent bank robbery," Carroll said on Wednesday. "Investigators have obtained surveillance video from the business and are releasing photographs of the suspect."

The suspect was described as white, about 55 years old, between 5 feet 5 and 5 feet 8 inches tall and was wearing a short-sleeved checkered shirt over white long sleeve undershirt and a brown hat, Carroll said.
