Charlene Earl, Beloved Beaumont Teacher, Dies

"Charlene has fought a brave and strenuous battle and has gained heaven."

BEAUMONT, CA – The Beaumont Unified School District community is mourning the loss of one of their own as a local principal died this week. Charlene Earl was 46.

Earl served as principal at Anna Hause Elementary in recent years and was with the district for more than a decade. She went out on leave earlier this school year due to health issues.

"Charlene has fought a brave and strenuous battle and has gained heaven. Her girls and I have surrounded her in these last hours with love, songs and stories. No more pain. She has loved, laughed, and believed; all while singing. Rest," her husband, Jerry Earl, said in a released statement.

Mrs. Earl began as a teacher at Three Rings Ranch in December of 2006. She touched the lives of many students as a teacher, Assistant Principal at Palm, Anna Hause, Sundance, and Brookside Elementary, and as the Principal of Anna Hause Elementary.

To know Mrs. Earl is to know pure love and happiness. She touched the lives of thousands of children and embodied pure joy with all who she encountered.

Mrs. Earl would want you to cherish the moments she had with you, and celebrate the comfort we provide for students and one another as we support each other in making a difference in the lives of students we impact on a daily basis.

Please join in expressing our condolences to Mrs. Earl’s family.

In Earl's self-introduction to students and families on the Anna Hause website, she wrote about how she was "living her dream," working with children. She enjoyed singing, home improvement projects and a good cup of coffee.

She is survived by three daughters and a husband.

Memorial services have yet to be announced.
