Trees must be free of ornaments, including tinsel.
All trees will be recycled into compost or mulch, except for trees that are "flocked" with snow.
Flocked trees will be collected but not composted.
As a bonus, cardboard that is not able to fit in the recycle cart will be collected during this two-week window as well, they said. Make sure all boxes are flattened, bundled and placed at the curb along with your carts.
