Community Invited To Beaumont PD's 'National Night Out'
The free family-friendly event hosted by the police department takes place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Noble Creek Park.

BEAUMONT, CA β The Beaumont Police Department invites the community to its 2nd Annual National Night Out, which promises an evening filled with engaging activities and displays.
The free event hosted by the department takes place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Noble Creek Park, 390 Oak Valley Parkway.
The family-centered event aims to elevate crime prevention awareness, strengthen neighborhood spirit, and forge closer police-community relationships.

Friday night's theme is "Touch-A-Truck," which lets children explore a variety of law enforcement vehicles. Vendors are also expected to be on hand.

National Night Out was started by the National Association of Town Watch in 1984 and is designed to bring members of the community together to be more effective in preventing crime. Annual National Night Out events across the nation work to facilitate partnerships that will increase social capital, reduce crime and strengthen communities.
