Commuter Alert: 91 Freeway Lane, Connector Closures Scheduled
Two lanes, plus a brdge and some exit ramps, are scheduled to close on westbound 91 for upcoming repairs.
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA β Traffic lanes and a connector bridge will be shut down beginning Thursday evening on the Riverside (91) Freeway in Riverside and Corona to enable crews to make a series of modifications and repairs, according to Caltrans.
Between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. Friday, two lanes are scheduled to be closed on the westbound 91 from Van Buren Boulevard to La Sierra Avenue, and the La Sierra, Tyler Street and Van Buren exit ramps will all be closed.
The closures are required for crews to complete freeway grinding and paving operations within a roughly mile-long space on the west end of Riverside, according to Caltrans.

Two westbound lanes will remain available during for the duration of the seven-hour closures.
On Saturday morning, pavement repairs are scheduled at the Interstate 15/91 Interchange, just east of downtown Corona.

From 6 a.m. to noon, the eastbound 91 connector to northbound I-15 will be out of service. There will be a detour in place for motorists trying to reach the 15 coming from Corona, according to Caltrans.
