Coroner IDs Man In Deadly SWR Crash
The man was killed in a head-on crash, according to authorities.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA β A man who died in a two-vehicle crash this week in Lake Elsinore was identified Friday as a local resident. Riverside County coroner's officials say 33-year-old Joshua Brownell of Lake Elsinore died at the scene of the wreck on Thursday "despite lifesaving efforts" by police officers and paramedics.
Sheriff's officials said Brownell was involved in a head-on crash on Riverside Drive near Strickland just after 9 a.m.
"Upon arriving, officers located a Chevy sedan and a Toyota SUV, both with single occupants, that had collided," sheriff's Sgt. James Woodland said.

Brownell was in the sedan, according to police. The SUV driver was taken to the hospital with injuries that were "non-life threatening."
"The Traffic Reconstruction Team of the Lake Elsinore Police Department is conducting a full investigation to determine the cause of the collision," Woodland said. "Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in this collision."
