Coroner IDs Woman Struck, Killed On 60 Freeway In Moreno Valley

The 24-year-old woman died at the scene.

MORENO VALLEY, CA β€” A woman who was struck and killed by a vehicle Thursday morning on the eastbound Moreno Valley (60) Freeway in Moreno Valley has been identified by the coroner's bureau as a Riverside resident.

Darleen Gonzalez, 24, was struck at 4:30 a.m. on the eastbound side of the freeway, about a quarter-mile west of Frederick Street, according to the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner's Bureau. She died at the scene.

Details of what led to the crash were not immediately available.

The Nos. 1, 2, 3, and 4 lanes were blocked until about 6:25 a.m., when all lanes were reopened, Caltrans said.

The crash is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
