Councilman Lloyd White continues to place illegal campaign signs

Councilman Lloyd White continues to place illegal campaign signs throughout Beaumont in violation of the city ordinance which he voted on and approved in May 2016. I have made numerous complaints via the telephone and online to code enforcement regarding this issue. I met with code enforcement regarding this issue last Thursday. They told me that they have to coordinate this with the city attorney, regarding private property rights regarding placement of political signs on private property. My complaint has nothing to do with sign placement on private property, as this issue had already been discussed and included in the revised ordinance. (See the link below)

In addition, this issue was brought to the council attention back in 2015, along with a request from the city manager to review the issue. It took them over a year to make the changes. (See the link below)

It’s time for Lloyd White to play by the rules. He did the same thing when he ran for re-election to the city council in 2018, now almost 2 years later; he is doing the same thing. Apparently he thinks that rules only apply to the little people and he is exempt. You are not exempt Lloyd White, quit beating around the bush and comply with the ordinance you approved.
