Deadly Banning Hit-And-Run Under Investigation
Meanwhile, coroner's officials have identified a local resident as the victim.

BANNING, CA β Banning police are looking for the person responsible for hitting a pedestrian and leaving him for dead over the weekend. The man was found around 5:30 p.m Sunday along Ramsey Street, near Apex Street, according to the Banning Police Department.
Police said they were called to the scene "in reference to a male subject located in the area with injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle."
Riverside County coroner's reports indicate he was declared dead at the location a short time later.

The victim has been identified by coroner's officials as Banning resident Leron Sanders. He was 20.
Police ask that if anyone witnessed anything related to the deadly crash, to call the Banning Police Department Detective Bureau at (951) 922-3170.
