Deadly Crash Reported In Cherry Valley
UPDATED: The intersection is closed where the wreck occurred this morning.

CHERRY VALLEY, CA β Emergency responders are at the scene of a crash in Cherry Valley this morning, in which one person has been killed, according to the California Highway Patrol reports.
The wreck was first reported at 7:25 a.m. at the intersection of Cherry Valley Boulevard and Union Street, about a mile west of Beaumont High School. A total of four vehicles were involved.
CHP Officer Darren Meyer tells Patch that a Beaumont man was driving a black Mazda Miata when he was first hit by someone in a Range Rover in the intersection. The force of that impact sent him out of control, and he was then t-boned by a person driving in a Hyundai Santa Fe. The man died at the scene a short time later.

The people in the other vehicles were not injured, Meyer said.
Police since shut down the intersection of Cherry Valley Boulevard and Union Street for several hours. As of 10 a.m., the fire department was working to cut the man out. The roadway was expected to remain closed for at least another hour.
