Defendant Denies Sex Crimes With Children In Beaumont Case

Frankie Ray Wood, 32, has been charged with multiple felonies. He pleaded not guilty to all of them and is being held in lieu of $2,200,000.

BEAUMONT, CA β€” A man arrested by Beaumont police in January has denied multiple charges of sex crimes with children, court records show.

Frankie Ray Wood, 32, is being held in lieu of $2,200,000 bail at Southwest Detention Center on four charges of lewd acts with a child under 14; two charges of oral copulation with a child under 14; and two charges of unlawful intercourse by a person over 21 β€” all felonies β€” court records show.

He pleaded not guilty to all on Feb. 2.

Wood was arrested at 5:20 p.m. Jan. 26 on W. College Avenue in San Bernardino by Beaumont police, according to jail records. It’s not clear what led investigators to him.

Wood is due in court again next month for a felony settlement conference.
