Donate Blood, Get a Free Tote

The totes will be distributed over Memorial Day weekend as the Red Cross kicks off a campaign to keep donations high during summer vacation.

The American Red Cross is holding the β€œ100 days of summer” campaign to keep blood supplies high as donors go on vacation.

β€œMemorial Day marks the unofficial start of summer and vacation season, and the start of a seasonal decline in blood and platelet donations,” said Sara O’Brien, external communications manager, Northern California Blood Services Region. β€œBy choosing a day to give blood or platelets, volunteer donors can give hope and help maintain a sufficient supply for patients in need.”
