Driver Dies In Rollover Crash Near Badlands On Thanksgiving

MORENO VALLEY, CA — A motorist was killed and another injured Thursday in a two-vehicle wreck that happened during heavy downpours on the east end of Moreno Valley.

The crash was reported about 12:30 p.m. on Redlands Boulevard, near Ironwood Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Heavy rain was moving through the area at the time.

The CHP said the two cars collided in the 10700 block of Redlands and one vehicle rolled over, leaving the driver, whose identity was not immediately released, fatally injured.

The other victim suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Riverside University Medical Center in Moreno Valley for treatment, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

As of 2:30 p.m., the CHP's investigation was continuing at the scene.
